Zenith Business College on Entebbe Road in the heart of Kampala, is one of the best training colleges for accountants in Uganda. It is licensed by the National Council for Higher Education.

They have trained hundreds of accountants who are now contributing to the success of business entities in Uganda and Africa. Alex Tumuhairwe, the business manager at the institution says: “We believe in empowering people and shaping their destiny by unlocking their potential in professionalism, leadership and entrepreneurship development.”

The college trains students in Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of Uganda, (ACCA), Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, CPA (U), The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, CIPS (UK), Certified Accounting Technician, CAT (UK) and Accounting Technician Certificate, ATC (U).

Tumuhairwe says when one trains for ACCA, one is equipped with useful knowledge and skills that make him or her internationally recognised as an accountant.

“We have also contributed to the development of the accountancy profession in Uganda and we value the roles accountants play in both Private and Public sector, especially in promoting sound business practices for sustainable business development,” Tumuhairwe says.
For the last seven years, Zenith Business College has churned out 50 ACCA affiliates annually.

The success of accounting students from Zenith has been attributed to its conduction of induction at the beginning of the semester and giving tips to students on how best they can study the course successfully. Through such interaction students are equipped with examination techniques and guided on how to manage time efficiently in order to pass the exams. In addition the college conducts revision classes concurrently with teaching and block release, after the syllabi has been completed to equip students with question approach.

Zenith Business College is a private initiative that was formed in 2001 and later incorporated in 2002. The college started with only five students at BAT Valley and currently it has a population of over 600 students pursuing different courses.

Since 2007 the college has been offering tuition to CPA students in Adjumani, Arua, Soroti, Mbale, Jinja, Masaka, Mbarara, Kabale, Mubende and Kampala.
On average 100 students graduate as affiliates from ZBC for both ACCA and CPA.
