Background information

PostBank was incorporated under the Companies Act in February 1998 as a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda. The bank's operations are supervised by the Bank of Uganda under the Financial Institutions Act. We subscribe to the Depositors Insurance Scheme at Bank of Uganda, meaning that in the unlikely event of a bank failure, our customers are compensated for up Shs. 2m/=.
