When it comes to international transport and logistics, Kenfreight Uganda, located in Bweyogerere leads the market.


Established in 1993, Kenfreight is a pioneer in freight logistics in Uganda.


The company is part of the Kenfreight Group of Companies, the sole East African agent for Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), one of the leading shipping lines worldwide with headquarters in Geneva.


MSC has a presence in over 100 countries. Kenfreight moves cargo around the world using sea, air mainly through JAS Forwarding, which is an internationally acclaimed company, rail and road transport.


With the opening up of the borders of Rwanda, Burundi, DRC Congo and Southern Sudan coupled with the development of a common custom tariff for the East African Community, Kenferight has successfully expanded to serve the region.

With support facilities for multimodal and intermodal transportation, such as a 400m rail line siding at the Kenfreight inland container depot, the train comes right there from Mombasa and Dar-es-Salaam port lines, minimising the strain and cost of clients taking their goods to the rail good shed.


There is also a railway frontage for easy loading and unloading of containers on rail.
Their competitive tariffs as well as quick and efficient turn-around has earned the company a reputation. They offer project logistics, transit, import and export forwarding, customs clearance and brokerage services.


In addition, their professional and experienced customer service personnel ensure the company has the required competitive edge to attend to various cargo needs.


The company uses modern handling equipment for loading and unloading containers from rail flats and classic, container stacking and movement, cargo stuffing and de-stuffing and has a robust information system that enables visibility, tracking and tracing of cargo
With over 10 inland offices in East Africa and 320 employees, Kenfreight offers online customs clearance connected to URA long room and border posts, international freight forwarding, ocean freight, inland container terminal operations, warehousing and inventory management.


Other group services are supplying chain and project logistic management, door-to-door freight services, national and regional distribution management, heavy lift services, dangerous goods handling and vehicle and machinery assembling facilities.


Kenfreight also has long term partnerships with reputable haulers in the region giving it easy access to over 150 trucks, experienced and dedicated management and a staff team with complementary logistics and supply chain skills.
