South Africa A choice closer to your home
The Matriculation Board of the South African public universities advises the South African Universities Vice Chancellors Association (SAUVCA) on the minimum general admission requirements for first bachelors degree studies at these universities.

The board is also responsible for administering the matriculation endorsement and exemption requirements.

The minimum requirement for admission to undergraduate degree programmes in South Africa is matriculation or a full exemption from the matriculation examination. International students who wish to complete a South African degree have to obtain a certificate of conditional exemption from the Matriculation Board.
One can apply for admission to as many universities as one wishes, but can only register at one university for an academic year of studies. Forms can be obtained from the Admission Officers on the various university campuses or can be downloaded and printed from the Matriculation Board website. Alternatively, prospective students can apply for a form via info@sauvca.org.za.
